The stage is set for the highly anticipated Round of 32 in Nigeria’s premier grassroots football event, the Bayelsa Governor’s Football Tournament, known as the Prosperity Cup.

The official draws, released on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, by Technical Director Mr. Diseye Nwankwe, have set up some exciting matchups. Former champions Krusaders FC of Peretorugbene will face Mountain of Fire Ministry (MFM FC) of Okaka at the Otuasega Township Stadium.

In a much-anticipated Eastern derby, Sangana FC of Sangana will take on Ayalla FC of Okiki at the Nembe City Stadium, while high-scoring Citiboi FC will battle Igoni FC of Brass at the same venue.

Other exciting fixtures include Nembe City FC vs Peace FC of Yenagoa at Otuasega, Water Strikers FC of Brass LGA facing Royal Allstars FC at Imiringi, and EGM FC (2022 champions) hoping to continue their strong form against Okoroba FC of Nembe at the Imiringi mini stadium.

Coach Anthony Robert’s Afini FC will clash with Federal University, Otuoke FC at the Biogbolo/Yenizue-Gene Centre, while Seasiders FC take on Professor Nimibofa Ayawei’s PNA FC at the same venue.

Agbere FC, last season’s Sagbama LGA champions, will face Akenfa FC at the Tombia Centre, which will also host Bayelsa United Feeders against Fury Titans FC. At the Bishop Dimeari Grammar School (BDGS) Centre, Federal Polytechnic, Ekowe FC will face NYSC Feeders FC, and Movers FC of Otuasega will meet Oyoma FC of Southern Ijaw.

Additionally, Akeddei FC will take on Creek Haven Allstars at the Niger Delta University (NDU) Amassoma Centre, where Indomitable Lions FC will battle Advance Dreams FC.

Other fixtures include Youbolobo FC vs Sampou FC and Tara Lions FC vs Adaka FC at the Ayamasa Centre. Dates for these thrilling Round of 32 matchups will be announced soon.

Meanwhile, the draw for the women’s tournament will take place on Thursday, April 17, 2025, after the weekly Prosperity Walk at the Samson Siasia Stadium, with Governor Senator Douye Diri set to attend as the Special Guest of Honour.
