NEMBE, BAYELSA STATE – In a dazzling display of grassroots football supremacy, Nembe City FC of Ogbolomabiri stormed to a commanding 4–0 victory over Okoroba FC to clinch the Nembe Local Government Championship Trophy at the ongoing Prosperity Cup 2025, Nigeria’s largest and most prestigious grassroots football tournament.

Held at the electrifying Nembe City Stadium, the match drew a large crowd of spectators and dignitaries, including Hon. David Alagoa, Chairman of Nembe LGA, and several top political appointees who came to witness the rise of local football talent.
Hat-Trick Hero Ayibaitari Powers Nembe to Glory
The match was ignited early when Ebinyo Victor converted a precise cross from the right in the 3rd minute. But it was Abraham Ayibaitari who stole the show, scoring a sensational hat-trick with goals in the 14th, 47th, and 82nd minutes — making it the second hat-trick of the ongoing LGA finals. His clinical finishing and relentless drive sealed the fate of Okoroba FC in a contest that clearly underlined Nembe City’s championship ambitions.
With the triumph, Nembe City FC now joins Crusaders FC of Ekeremor and Adaka FC of Kolokuma/Opokuma as local champions set to compete in the State Round of 32, as the Prosperity Cup enters its most competitive phase.

Nembe City Coach Raphael Affagi lauded his players’ discipline and hunger to win:
