Imiringi Centre: Dominant Displays from Royal All Stars & EGM
At the Imiringi Centre, Royal All Stars of Yenagoa outclassed Water Strikers FC of Twon Brass with a commanding 2-0 victory. Nation Ogogo broke the deadlock in the 50th minute with a stunning header, and Charles Richard sealed the win 25 minutes later, ensuring their safe passage to the next round.
Former champions and tournament favorites, EGM FC of Yenagoa, proved their title credentials by demolishing Okoroba FC 4-0 in a breathtaking show of dominance. Taiwo Ola wasted no time, netting the opener just five minutes into the match. Noble Junior doubled the lead in the 17th minute with a thunderous long-range effort before securing his brace right before halftime. Caleb Chukwu added the final flourish with a clinical 90th-minute strike, leaving Okoroba FC with no way back.
Amassoma Centre: High Stakes & Drama Unfold
Over at Amassoma, Advance Dreams FC of Yenagoa kept their aspirations alive, comfortably dispatching Indomitable Lions FC of Sagbama 2-0. Both goals came in the second half, with Goodluck Bunizibe and Opukeme Kenneth stepping up in the 57th and 68th minutes to send the Lions packing.
Meanwhile, Akeddei FC of Sagbama held their ground in a thrilling battle against Creek Haven All Stars, emerging victorious 3-1 in a pulsating encounter that showcased grit and attacking flair.
Samson Siasia Stadium: Nail-Biting Finishes
At the Samson Siasia Stadium, Agbere FC of Agbere edged past Akenfa FC of Yenagoa 4-2 on penalties after a goalless draw in regulation time.
Later in the evening, Bayelsa United Feeders FC took the stage against Fury Titans FC of Amassoma, putting behind their heartbreak at the Yenagoa Local Government finals with a 3-1 triumph. Daniel Austin set the tone early in the 25th minute, followed by Stanley Edor, who found the net in the 46th. Bethel Obadiah sealed the win with a sublime volley in the 60th minute, before Jacob Ogbe pulled one back for Fury Titans FC in the 63rd.
Rescheduled Fixtures at the Samson Siasia Stadium
Due to heavy rainfall rendering the Ayamasa Centre unplayable, two highly anticipated matches—Youbolobo FC vs. Sampou FC and Tara Lions vs. Adaka FC—have been moved to Wednesday, May 21st, at the Samson Siasia Stadium. Kickoff is set for 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, respectively.
