Tournament hopefuls PNA FC of Koluama have reinforced their title ambitions in Season 7 of the Prosperity Cup, Nigeria’s biggest grassroots football tournament. Under the leadership of Professor Nimibofa Ayawei, PNA FC delivered another dominant performance at the Amassoma venue, securing a resounding 6-0 victory over Fury Titans.

Okojo John opened the scoring with a clinical finish in the 17th minute, followed by Indutimi Golubo, who doubled the lead in the 28th minute. Veteran striker Ebi Dan added a third in the 30th minute, before Pere Lector extended the lead just before halftime. PNA’s relentless attack continued into the second half, as Golubo completed his brace in the 48th minute, and Lector sealed the demolition with a stunning goal in the 69th minute, securing their place in the next round.

Elsewhere in Biogbolo/Yenizue-gene, MFM FC edged out FC Silina in a tense encounter, winning 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time. NYSC Feeders FC also progressed, narrowly defeating Oga United by a lone goal.

At Tombia, Advance Dreams FA claimed a 2-0 victory over Eleven Planets FC, courtesy of goals from Prince Agah and Zitongha Clinton. Oyoma FC extended their impressive run at the Enewari venue, defeating Federal Polytechnic, Ekowei 2-0.

The competition remained fierce at Opolo, where Corinthians FC triumphed 4-2 on penalties against Ogbara United after a draw, while Afini FC edged past Flying Vasco 3-2. At Swali, Peace FC eliminated Kolumbia FC 4-3 on penalties, while Royal Allstars secured a narrow 1-0 win over Rochester City.

Meanwhile, at Otuokpoti, Ayalla FC of Okiki overcame Austonee Ultimate FC 2-1 to book their spot in the next round.

The action resumes today in three centres:

  • Imiringi: Mover’s FC faces Chief Street FC at 3:00 PM.
  • BDGS venue: Seaside FC takes on Better Days FC at 12:00 PM, followed by Shekina FC vs. Solid Stars FC at 2:00 PM.
  • Ogboloma: Church of God Mission FC meets 2022 champions, Eternal Grace Ministry (EGM FC) at 2:00 PM.

With the tournament heating up, fans can expect more thrilling encounters in the coming days.
