The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has confirmed that the 2025/26 season will kick off on August 22, 2025, and conclude on May 24, 2026, maintaining the steady calendar established last season.

NPFL Chairman Otunba Gbenga Elegbeleye emphasized the importance of consistency, allowing clubs, players, match officials, and scouts to plan effectively. He highlighted that the previous 2024/25 season, which ran from August 31, 2024, to May 25, 2025, successfully followed its scheduled timeline—a commitment the league intends to uphold moving forward.
