Profile:

  • Grace has a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management, a B.Sc Degree in Political and Administrative Studies and a National Diploma in Agriculture. She is a Chartered Arbitrator and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Nigeria.
  • She has 30 years working experience in Project Monitoring, Conflict Resolution, Women Mobilization, Sports Administration and Human Resource Management from both Private and Public Sector. She presently works with the Ministry of Youth and Sports Bayelsa State as Permanent Secretary. She is also the Secretary, Bayelsa Queens FC.
  • She worked with the Agricultural Development Programme for 12 years as an Extension Officer, a Subject Matter Specialist (Women in Agriculture), and as the Assistant Director of Administration (Training).
  • She also worked with the Shell Petroleum Development Co. Ltd., as an Assistant Extension Officer in the Community Development Department with Special Emphasis on Women in Agriculture.
  • She worked with the EU MPP3 for 6 years as a Project Officer, during which period she monitored and evaluated 60 Micro Projects.
  • She worked with the Ministry of Youth, Conflict Resolution and Employment Generation, Bayelsa State as the Head of Conflict Department where she successfully made a second chance program for repentant Militants. She was also the Government Representative in SPDC Community Trust Board. She successfully conducted more than 60 Community Elections.
  • She consulted for the FGN/IFAD-Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprise – Niger Delta (Life-ND) Project from July – August, 2020 in implementing the FGN/IFAD/NDDC assisted Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprises Project in Bayelsa State. The LIFE-ND was implemented in five (5) Local Government Areas (LGAs) and ten (10) Communities in Bayelsa State.
  • My strong skills are Community Livelihood Development, Human Resource Management, Community Appraisals, Election Monitoring and Conflict Resolution.
