The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Sports Development, Madam Grace Alagoa, and the Director of Sports of the Bayelsa State Sports Council, Sir Braveman Wodi, have commended Executive Governor Senator Douye Diri for his remarkable developmental strides across all sectors, particularly in sports development in Bayelsa State.
Flanked by some management staff of the Council, the duo gave their commendations during the foundation laying and unveiling of the commemorative plaque for the proposed 25,000-seat capacity stadium in the peaceful community of Igbogene in Yenagoa L.G.A. The ceremony, graced by former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, was part of the activities marking the 5th anniversary of Governor Diri’s administration on Monday, February 17th, 2025.
Despite the challenging terrain, the Governor has remained undeterred in driving growth and development in the state. His administration’s efforts have significantly advanced sports development, placing Bayelsa State in a better position because of his commendable actions.
