To rally support for Bayelsa United, the Honourable Commissioner for Sports Development, Bayelsa State, Champion Daniel Igali, has called on Bayelsans to come out in large numbers to cheer the team in their NPFL matchday 2 fixture against Kano Pillars in Yenagoa.
In a statement personally signed on Sunday, Igali emphasized the importance of strong local support for Bayelsa United, especially as the team seeks victory. He stressed that the backing of the Bayelsa people will be crucial in boosting the team’s morale.
Currently sitting 19th on the NPFL table with no points after their opening loss to Sunshine Stars, Bayelsa United will host Kano Pillars on Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Samson Siasia Stadium.
Igali noted that a large turnout of Bayelsans would give the Prosperity Boys a significant home advantage. He also urged Bayelsa United to deliver a top-notch performance, which he believes could signal a turning point for the team’s season.
