Bayelsa United players Ifeanyi Ogba, Wisdom Magbisa, and Kehinde Malik Lawal have been rewarded with ₦50,000 each following their impressive performances in the team’s 3-0 win over Shooting Stars in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 33 clash.

The reward came from Coach Kenneth Opukeme, founder of Advance Dreams Football Academy, who made the announcement through Bayelsa United’s Technical Adviser, Ladan Bosso, in the team’s dressing room at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.

Bayelsa United’s Dominant Performance

The match saw the Prosperity Boys put on a clinical display, with Ogba, Magbisa, and Malik scoring in the 27th, 40th, and 47th minutes respectively to secure an emphatic home victory. The result further extends Bayelsa United’s unbeaten run as they continue their push for a continental ticket in the ongoing NPFL season.

Coach Kenneth Opukeme Motivates with Cash Incentive

Coach Opukeme, also known as Coach Bobo, praised the players for their discipline, teamwork, and determination. He described the cash reward as a motivational boost to inspire continued excellence from the squad.

“With the quality and unity in this team, and their current unbeaten run, Bayelsans are proud of Bayelsa United. This gesture is just a token of encouragement as they continue the fight for continental qualification,” he said.

Team Captain Responds with Gratitude

Captain Gabriel Biriduba, speaking on behalf of the team, thanked Coach Opukeme for his generosity and encouragement, noting that the reward will serve as extra motivation for the players to maintain their performance levels.

Focus Shifts to Federation Cup Clash

Bayelsa United will next face Nasarawa United in the President Federation Cup — formerly known as the Aiteo Cup — in a highly anticipated rematch of the 2021 final. The team aims to maintain their nine-game unbeaten streak across all competitions.
