The Honourable Commissioner for Sports Development, Dr. Daniel Igali, has expressed Bayelsa State’s strong determination to excel at the upcoming Ogun 2024 National Sports Festival. Speaking during a key meeting with association chairpersons, coaches, and management staff, Igali emphasized that the state’s goal, set by Governor Douye Diri, is to secure the top position in the competition.

Reflecting on past performances, Bayelsa State achieved 3rd place in Edo 2020 and 2nd place in Delta 2022. Dr. Igali acknowledged the hard work and dedication of everyone involved, which has propelled the state to these impressive results both nationally and globally.
