Bayelsa Queens have bolstered their squad with the addition of three new players ahead of the upcoming Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership season.
The new signings include attacker Oscar Precious from Imo Strikers, forward Confidence Onen from Kwara Ladies, and attacking midfielder Yinusa Zainab from Dream Stars Ladies of Lagos. All three players stood out during the recently concluded NWFL Championship in Calabar, Cross Rivers State.
Bayelsa Queens’ Technical Adviser, Whyte Ogbonda, emphasized that the acquisition of Oscar, Yinusa, and Onen is aimed at strengthening the team’s attack for the upcoming season.
“With these three new additions, we are fully prepared for the start of the league,” Ogbonda said. “Last season, we struggled with goal-scoring, but bringing in two forwards and an attacking midfielder will greatly enhance our attacking options. The Prosperity Girls are ready to go,” he added.
