Reactions from the Dugout
Bayelsa Queens’ Technical Adviser, Coach Whyte Ogbonda, expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance, noting that the tournament has helped identify areas of strength and weakness ahead of the new Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) season.
“The girls have shown great dexterity and commitment throughout the tournament. We’ll make some adjustments and possibly a few additions before the league kicks off,” Ogbonda stated.
On his part, Delta Queens’ Technical Adviser, Coach Tosin Blankson, despite his side’s defeat, lauded the pre-season competition as timely and beneficial for preparation.
“We’ve taken a lot of positives from our games here. This tournament is helping us fine-tune our approach as we look to compete strongly for the 2025/2026 NWFL title,” Blankson remarked.
