Bayelsa Queens FC have officially announced the signing of two exciting talents ahead of the 2025/26 Nigeria Women’s Football League Premiership (NWFL) season. The new additions to the squad are Ojiyovwi Keseina Tessy, an attacker from Nasarawa Amazons, and Nwachukwu Prisca, a defensive midfielder who joins from Imo Strikers.

Prisca, who spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Heartland of Owerri, also featured prominently in Nigeria’s U-20 women’s team during their recent FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda. Her versatility and international experience are expected to bring depth and stability to the midfield.
Tessy, known for her pace and attacking flair, is set to bolster the forward line of the Yenagoa-based club, which continues to build on its legacy of developing top-tier female footballers.
Founded in 2000, Bayelsa Queens FC play their home matches at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Ovom, Yenagoa. The club has grown into one of the most respected teams in the NWFL, with a vibrant fan base and a strong ambition to secure more silverware for Bayelsa State.
Club management expressed optimism that the new signings will strengthen the squad and enhance their chances of reclaiming continental glory after narrowly missing out on CAF Women’s Champions League qualification last season.
