All eyes are on the Bishop Dimieari Grammar School pitch this weekend as defending champions Advance Dreams Football Academy launch their 2024/2025 Bayelsa State Football Association League campaign with a highly anticipated clash against debutants Glitch FC of Yenagoa.
With over 20 teams locked in and four centers buzzing with anticipation, this year’s league promises high-stakes action, skillful displays, and fierce competition. At stake: the honor of representing Bayelsa State in the nationwide Division Two play-offs.
According to fixtures released by FA Secretary Mr. Diseye Nwankwe, Group A action features Famgbe FC battling Better FC, Kingdom Stars taking on Saturday FC, and Creek FC facing Foundation FC—all kicking off Saturday.
Group B sees Kolombia FC, Bayelsa FA, The Rhema FC, and United Stars of Okaka go head-to-head alongside defending champions Advance Dreams FA and newcomers Glitch FC. All Group B matches will unfold on Sunday at the BDGS Centre.
Over at Kpansia Field, Group C will showcase Stardom Light FC, AJ Inter Soccer FC, Genesis FC, NYSC FC, Sea Side FC, and ambitious contenders Rich Destiny.
Meanwhile, the Imiringi Township Stadium in Ogbia will play host to Group D teams: Hope Alive FC (Otuoke), Victory Vault FC, Emeyal 2 United, Metros FC, Movers FC (Otuasega), and Light FC. The opening fixtures promise fireworks: Hope Alive FC vs. Vault FC at 11:00am, followed by Emeyal 2 United vs. Metros FC, with Movers FC clashing against Light FC to wrap up Saturday’s triple-header.
