Bayelsa state has emerged champions in the U:18 softball championship in Owerri, the Imo State capital after days of hostilities at the Dan Anyiam stadium.
Champions Bayelsa beat 25-23 beat neighbors Rivers in what could be described as a close triumph from the Bayelsa girls.
Team Bayelsa qualified for the final with victories against host Imo State 20-4 in their opening fixture of the tournament whitewashed Enugu 15-0 in their second game of the championship.
